Reishi Mushroom Ring in 14k Gold | Ganoderma lingzhi
A cluster of the concentric circles of reishi mushrooms stretches along the front of the ring, while the backing is meant to resemble a branch of wood. In this sculpture piece, we tried to encapsulate the mystique and allure of this ancient fungus.
Known as the divine spirit mushroom, reishi have been used in eastern medicine for thousands of years. Today they are taken to enhance the immune systems, reduce stress, and improve sleep. Recently, in western medicine, they have also been used as supplements to help fight pulmonary infection and cancer.

While they look very similar, turkey tails and reishi are different species. The wobbly concentric circles are a defining feature of both and that’s what we were trying to capture with the ring.
