Eastern Hemlock Ring in 14k Gold | (Tsuga canadensis)
This 14k gold ring was inspired by the graceful branches of the eastern hemlock tree. It features a delicate pattern of plump needle leaves and tiny pine cones that stretch along a wide band. The geometry tapers towards the back of the ring for a more comfortable fit.

This photo is from the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, you can see all the bare trunks are from dead hemlock trees. A non-native invasive pest is killing wild hemlocks. By the end of this century they will only exist in cultivation where they can be protected from infestation. Click here for more about the extinction of hemlock.

Not quite, but it doesn’t fit like a thin band ring either. The design tapers at the back, making it more comfortable than the average wide band ring. Most people will find that they like about a ¼ size up from their regular ring size.

Of course, you can wear this ring however you like, but it was designed with a flatter edge and a wavier edge. It is almost like the profile of a crown. The flatter edge will probably be more comfortable against the palm of your hand, with the wavy edge up.
