Dawn Redwood Necklace | (Metasequoia glyptostroboides)

$115.00

Once thought to be extinct, the dawn redwood was rediscovered in China in the 1950s. This tree can grow to 165 feet, but as the smallest species of redwood, it’s only about half the size of its cousins on the western coast of North America that tower over 300 feet tall.

The adorable pinecones, cast in sterling silver, are made from genuine cones. Though each one is unique, they all share dimpled wedges and hidden interiors.

A sterling silver chain threads through the bail, you can chose a 20 or a 24 inch chain. Because the pendant has some weight to it we recommend that you wear it as a longer necklace. The model in the photo is wearing it on a 24” chain, the most commonly requested size, however some women prefer a 20 inch chain.

Dawn Redwood Pendant FAQs

  • Yes, these trees grow abundantly around us so it’s easy enough to collect a few pinecones throughout the year. Each pendant is a unique casting from a dawn redwood tree.

Each cone must be reinforced so that it won’t crack or break after casting. Check out the video to see how the pinecones are prepped for casting.

  • If you want a different chain length simply write that in the notes section at checkout and we will send it on that size chain.

Most women prefer this piece on a 24” chain because it’s a bit heavy. The model in the photo is wearing this length.

But some women want it at a 20” length and some at an even longer 30” length. We are happy to make you whatever size you want.

  • Yes, we give you $10 off the price if you don’t want a chain. Simply put NOCHAIN in the discount code section at checkout and $10 will be deducted from your bill.
