Fireweed Ring

Cesar’s background in chemistry has come in very useful for many aspects of the business, but perhaps it is most evident in this particular process.

We run current through the rings and dip them in ceramic red paint, which adheres to the surface. Timing and temperature are the two most important variables to control in this process, to ensure we get an even, consistent coating.

After the paint initially dries to the surface, we remove the red from the front and back faces of the ring. The red is only left in the little windows and this is when we bake it to seal in the red and make sure that it bonds directly to the metal.
