Mound forming perennial plant. It prefers growing in low light with corrugated heart-shaped leaves.

COLOR:

Plants with red and purple leaves are sensitive to light, their dark color acts as a sunscreen preventing them from absorbing too much sun. These short plants never get more than a foot off the ground, so they are protected from the tropical sun by the shade of other plants as well.
