Virginia Creeper Necklace
(Parthenocissus quinquefolia)

65.00

The piece is attached to chain on either side and sits like a twisty version of a traditional bar necklace.  In total, the piece with chain is 18 inches.

  • Sterling silver
  • 18 inch necklace
  • Live cast, one-of-a-kind
  • Ships in 1-2 days

Nature is an infinitely better artist than I am, even if I tried to carve something as random and twisty as these vines I could never do it.

We collect Virginia creeper vines from a variety of places, it is an invasive species and there is never any shortage of it.  I dip the vines repeatedly in wax to coat them and thicken them up.  We cast them in sterling silver, and polish the twisty vines to a high shine.

The first link below will explain more on how we collect the vines to cast, and the second will tell you more about the process of lost wax casting in general.
