Dawn Redwood Necklace
(Metasequoia glyptostroboides)

Once thought to be extinct, the dawn redwood was rediscovered in Hubei, China in the 1950s. This tree can grow to 165 feet, but as the smallest species of redwood, it’s only about half the size of its cousins on the western coast of North America that tower at 300 feet tall.

The adorable pinecones, cast in sterling silver, are made from genuine samples. Though each one is unique, they all shared dimpled wedges and hidden interiors. We attach a silver bail to the crown and thread a 24 inch sterling silver chain so the pendant falls at breast level.

  • Sterling silver

  • 24” sterling silver chain

  • Slightly longer than wide, around ¾” (2 cm) diameter

  • Ships in 1-2 days
