Taxodium Disticum

bald-cypress-trees-in-water

The King of the Swamp, Bald Cypresses grow along rivers and in flood prone areas from Texas to Virginia. They are called “bald” because they are false conifers, with needle-like leaves that turn orange and fall off before winter. Large knobby roots grow around the base of the trunk to help stabilize the tree in shifting mud and sand. This design features is a 3D printed creation that captures the feathery nature of the leaves, presenting them as classic silhouettes polished to a high reflective shine.
